15 Jun Introducing Scott Hawryliw
Introducing….
The partners of Stewart Esten are pleased to announce that Scott Hawryliw has joined the firm as senior litigation counsel. Scott’s addition will further bolster Stewart Esten’s civil litigation practice.
Scott has lived in Barrie and practiced law in Barrie since being called to the bar in 2012. Prior to law school, Scott completed an M.B.A. and brings a strong business background to his litigation practice.
During the winter, Scott refines his dispute resolution skills as the organizer of the Thursday night lawyers’ pickup hockey group. This weekly game is a tradition among Barrie lawyers that has occurred on Thursday evenings for more than 50 years and can be described as what court would look like if: court occurred on the ice, without a judge, and with 10 lawyers expressing their opinion simultaneously.
Scott is also a proud father and can be found spending time with his wife and daughter enjoying all that Simcoe County has to offer.
What’s in a name…?
Many of you may be perplexed with the proper pronunciation of Scott’s last name. The Stewart Esten partners shared your inquiry – and upon Scott’s arrival at the firm, the partners made sure that his parking space was (in)appropriately designated to welcome Scott to the firm.
(For the official record, it’s pronounced ‘Har-loo’).
